Baby Safe Homes recently installed two black child safety gates at the top and bottom of a  staircase.  We used a NO HOLES Banister clamping system and painted the banister clamps and moldings satin black to better better match the clients decor.  Mounted (not pressure) safety gates were used for maximum safety and to eliminate the tripping threshold at the bottom of the gate.  Pressure Mounted Gates should NEVER be used at the top of a staircase!
